"Not Meant to Hold" by Luciano Francescon was selected as a finalist for the contemporary art prize ARTEFICI DEL NOSTRO TEMPO, organized by the MUVE Foundation and the Municipality of Venice.

The sculpture presents itself as an ambiguous, self-contained presence suspended between vegetal, animal, and artificial states. Operating within a subdued register, the work echoes the theme "In Minor Keys" of the 2026 Venice Biennale, avoiding monumentality to insist instead on intimacy, proximity, and a minor form of existence.
